The Building
The building is set to be a global peace centre that will be a home for all who strive to work for world peace. It is set out to be a six star green rated building to ensure that it has minimal environmental impact by reducing its carbon footprint.

Location
The Centre seeks to occupy a landmark site through a Partnership Agreement with the Desmond Tutu Peace Trust and the City of Cape Town which has reserved a well-located municipal owned land in the city-centre for the Desmond Tutu Peace on a 50-year lease at a nominal charge. The land is known as Block D. This demonstration of civic responsibility by the City of Cape Town illustrates its firm commitment to invest in a facility of great public benefit for local communities, and for the world.
