The DTPC is governed by trustees who bring a range expertise and experiences, some of whom are renowned for their contribution in assisting with South Africa's transition to democracy. We are also supported by a network of local and international advocates that serve as our patrons.

The Trust is managed by a Board of Trustees. Trust Committees chaired by Trustees govern different areas of the Trust's activities. An annual budget is produced and regular reports are presented to the Finance Committee. Funds donated for specific projects or purchases are treated as creditor deposits until expensed.

The DTPT is proud to count among its trustees some of the most prominent business and academic personalities in South Africa.
